FIRST STEPS THROUGH THE BAN OF HEAD-SCARF
Prof. Dr. Kemal Alemdaroglu, The Chief of Department of Surgery in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty of Istanbul University, prohibited medical students wearing head scarves to be taken to Surgery training and examinations with oral decree ( order). By this way students attending the medical faculty with their scarves were out of doors.

FIRST WRITTEN DECREE GIVEN BY THE NEW RECTOR
Kemal Alemdaroglu, selected as the rector of Istanbul University, ordered the written decree to be practiced in Cerrahpasa Medical Faculty. This decree was sent to all the departments of this faculty. So the medical students with head scarves were deprived of attending the lessons and many lessons were cancelled due to this ban.
